Behind The Lens

Location

At the breeder's home, where the puppies and their mom were. My dad had recently lost his old lab and wanted a new one, we looked around and found this litter. My dad fell in love with this puppy, and we couldn't get him for a few weeks, so we stopped back often to visit.

Time

This was taken in the early afternoon.

Lighting

It was in the walk-out basement of the house.

Equipment

I had a Canon Rebel XTI with a Canon 70-200 f2.4 IS lens. I didn't use a flash and it was hand held.

Inspiration

I think when you look back on the life of a dog that has shared your life, you never want to say, I wish I had more pictures of him/her. The dogs that have shared my life are probably some of the most photographed animals in the world.

Editing

Minor changes to levels and some sharpening.

In my camera bag

Canon DSLR camera, and various Canon lenses. My favorite to keep on my camera is my 70-200. I love this lens!

Feedback

I think just spending time with the subject and observing and then trying to get that special shot.
