A massive thanks to all and VB, This is an honor most ViewBug members never receive, but it's not happened to you and astounding 3+ times!(Honestly, we stopped counting at three.) To keep you photo page clean, we are not adding a duplicated Feature Award :), Many thanks to all :)

This Is one of my Favourite Birds. Hard to capture also many hours waiting for the right moment, The wife was in bed so as always I left with camera in hand at 6:45 Am. The sun was just breaking the tops of the trees, when I got ready to sit around for a few hours,Then the Kingfisher flew in amazed by the bright colours picked up the camera started to shoot photo's of it flying between 3 perches. The Kingfisher was around for about 15 mins then flew off again.Lighting
The lighting was just right as the sun broke through the top of the tree's and shining across the pond, with light just covering the top of the branch the kingfisher was on.Equipment
Camera: Canon EOS 1100D With an 50-500 f/5.6 sigma lens. No other equipmentInspiration
I used to do a lot of diving, and my wife brought my camera for my birthday. so she started off my new hubby I found a spot so sat there for a while with my camera watching other birds flying around. then this guy just flew in.Editing
Post-processing was just lift the exposure up a little and a spot of contrast. In my camera bag
Canon 1100d 50-500mm sigma/ 28-90mm canon and some camouflage netting, tripodFeedback
make sure you have some camouflage netting as this is a great way to hide. and the down side is when you have found a spot were you think the kingfisher is you might have hours too wait.
