Stunning! Am I correct that some of these pictures are from the Cape? If so, I'm a Boston girl myself.

Location
This photo was taken at Old Silver Beach in Falmouth on Cape Cod MA.Time
Summer sunset so this was taken at about 8:30pm.Lighting
No flash used but this was a 4 minute long exposure with an ND10 Filter. This smoothed out the water and took in as much light as possible.Equipment
I shot this with Canon 7D with the Canon EFS 10-22 at 22mm F13 100 ISO. Mounted on my tripod with a cable release.Inspiration
I live on Cape Cod and as such have access to amazing sunsets and sunrises. The beauty of the sunsets around me is one of the things that made me get serious about my photography. This is one of my earlier shots so I was playing around with settings more and just experimenting. This was one of the successes.Editing
Slight adjustments to the highlights in Light Room but other than that no post. Did not touch saturation as local sunsets seem so vibrant that some people already assume that these images can only be done when they boost the colors but in general I am lucky enough to have vibrant colors over the water with i five miles of my house. In my camera bag
My bag is actually my car trunk at this point. But my single trip bag is my Canon Backpack with Canon 7D , Canon EF 100mm 2.8L Macro Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Two tripods with ball heads and various level and size ND and CPL filtersFeedback
Experiment with a heavy ND Filter and very long exposures. When I am doing shots like this currently I bring my back up body which is the Canon Rebel T3 to do other images during the extra long exposure.
