Location
This photo was taken in Gogebic County in Upper Michigan in the US. The photo I laid over the top is one I took of myself in my home at the time in Green Bay, Wisconsin.Time
It was taken sometime after 2 pm on October 19th of 2013, a blustery day with the sun popping in and out of the gathering cumulus clouds.Lighting
The sun just happen to be shining through the windows at this point when I turned around, so I took a few shots.Equipment
I shoot with a Canon 60D, with a 18-135mm lens, this photo was taken at 18mm set at f/5, exp. 1/60.Inspiration
I was moving out the last of the items in my parents home and the sadness overwhelmed me as all the old memories flooded through my mind and heart. It was the home my Dad built for my mother and him and a place where all 15 of us kids went for vacation..now empty... it just doesn't look the same. I thought it fitting to put the other selfie on top to show how I felt at the time.Editing
Yes, I took it into photoshop cropped it a little and did a little HD toning. The other photo on top was taken from my computer in Photobooth believe it or not..ha ha I know...funny !In my camera bag
What's in the bag ? My Canon 60D with a 18-135mm lens on it my first and only DSLR camera and that's it ! Oh yeah, sometimes I throw a bottle of water in there too :)Feedback
As most of you know, light coming in through a window into an empty room takes on a ambience in itself, walk around and shoot different angles...only difference I could've tried to make it better would be to process in B/W. Ahh...just shoot anything that inspires you !
