I put a bowl in the sink and let the water running (drop by drop) not too fast. Then I kept remotely triggering the camera. Out of the many pictures I took, a few came out OK. I focussed manually first. To do so I put something in the bowl first (where the drop would fall) and focussed manually on that object. After that nothing moves so you should have sharp drops. I know there are more fancy settings but this was my quick and dirty settings. I got other shots in my gallery. Good luck. Also forgot to mention, you can play with the background (adding pictures or 'things' that will be seen in the drop... :)
