Canon T3 with a Canon AF/IS 55mm~250mm lens set at 135mm Aperture: f/5.0, ISO: 200,Exposure: 1/640...on a tripod using a USB cable to a tablet computer ... Then using Canon's Live View remote control software to adjust settings and focus and snap the photo...

Inspiration

This Brown Thrasher has shown up a few times in the last few days and I wanted to get a natural looking shot so I found a old birch branch and mounted it near my feeder and mounted the camera on the tripod pointed at the upper portion of the branch and waited for the Thrasher to land in frame ...

Editing

Yes... I did adjust saturation and sharpness using Canon's RAW Photo Pro software then cropped and converted to JPG format.... Then I used Corel Photo Paint to touch up and adjust contrast along with adding a slight Vignette to the final image...

In my camera bag

Canon T3, Assorted Filters, assorted adapter rings, Canon TTL flash, 28mm~55mm AF/IS Canon Lens, 55mm~250mm AF/IS Canon Lens,75mm~300mm AF/IS Canon Lens, 55mm Minolta,75mm Minolta and a 28mm Minolta Manual lenses for use as Macro lenses using reversing adapters ... A 10" tablet computer to use as a remote control and a ball head tripod

Shoot Manual and try remote control to move you away from the camera so as to get the camera close while not scaring the subjects...
