A young lady sat motionless for about 15 minutes on her board gazing. I saw her from up on the Seal Beach pier while I was walking, and I envisioned what a shot would be like of her from behind gazing out. I figured there would be no way she would still be sitting there by the time it took me to walk-run all the way back down the pier and then back up to where she was on the beach... I was wrong, and not only was she still there, she sat there for about 10 more minutes motionless. I was wondering what she was contemplating, the great day of surfing she already had, the wave she missed, or the cruise ship off in the distance... my money was on the great day she had.
