Location

This photo was taken on Park Point on Lake Superior by Duluth, Minnesota.

Time

It was a cloudy mid-day.

Lighting

The light was low so I used a on camera flash unit.

Equipment

I hand held a full size body.

Inspiration

I had never seen this many insects of any kind gathered in one place. Since then I have come upon masses of ladybugs in several States in America.

Editing

No.

In my camera bag

I carry three zooms (wide, medium, and very long, and a macro.

Feedback

Look down, not just up. In order to get the image I wanted I had to get down on my belly. At the time I was wearing black pants, a black cap, and a red jacket. When I got up I was covered with ladybugs. Once I walked away from the group those riding on me flew off back to the crowd.
