This image was taken on my first trip to State Mountain Ranch Park just outside of Las Vegas. They have a man made lake towards the back of the park that is just below the mountain range line. I was just walking along the shore line and just saw this large rock in the water. I thought what an interesting photo this made with the rock being the focal point and perspective to the mountains in the background. I actually prefer the black and white composition to the original color version.
