As a photo hobbyist I always look for that different angle, something that will make my images unique and special. What is crucial often is perspective, angle, composition and, most importantly, the idea behind the shot or the situation in which the shot was taken. This Birds Eye View was taken from high up on a canyon wall with the intention of capturing four dark shadows of the horses. It all came together when three faced in one direction and the fourth turned in the opposite direction, bringing some dynamic tension to the composition.
Shooting from high-up is not only different and interesting; it is one interesting trend I have noticed recently. Photographers love to experiment with things and observe how people interact with our work. Although not yet the most common trend with more and more photographers using drones it promises to be an interesting area.

Thanks for the "How Spectacular" comment. I love how ones eyes are drawn to the pinto horse and its shadow, only to later see the other horses in the composition.

What an interesting view. I like how the shadows of the horses look more like the horse than the horses themselves.

Great observation and you are so right as the Birds Eye POV is right on top of those three horses making the shadows look better than the real.

This is a fun one for me as it is not often I get the opportunity to make a Birds Eye POV photo. Thanks for the "Superior Skill" peer recognition.

Ernesto....I could imagine this as the start of film credits..the perpective is perfect and by using such a great angle you have got both horses and shadows....Really rate this image very highly...It should be right up there with the final few..KATHLEEN voted

Love the angle.....your 'bird's eye view'...... the shadows give so much depth to the capture. Lovely!

You are so right about the shadows, if they did not exist in this composition almost everybody would miss the three horses standing in a row. Thanks for the "Superb Composition" peer recognition.
