Wounded

One morning I saw a big deer laying in the middle of the back yard which was very unusual.Of course I ran out to take pictures. He turned his head as he heard me coming. I took a few pictures at a safe distance.Finally he got up and walked a few yards limping. I noticed his left rear foot was badly damaged. Not far from him there was a female deer (look at the next picture). Evidently she was showing some support at difficult time.
