Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a rice fields close to my office area.

Time

It was taken right after sunset, about 6 pm, when I took a break for office hour and enjoying afternoon walk nearby. I saw the sky was good as background image with its twilight color.

Lighting

There is no lighting, just natural twilight light in the sky because I want to capture perfect silhouette.

Equipment

Fuji Film prosumer camera with built-in lens, put on the ground without flash, with 10 seconds timer.

Inspiration

I got this photo idea when I want to capture rice plants from low angle on this golden hour. The combination of silhouette and orange sky could create dramatic picture, but its too empty. So I decided to put the camera on the ground, set the timer and do the action. Doing this alone, I need to calculate the timer to decide when I should jump to get perfect timing for the picture.

Editing

I added some contrast adjustment using Photoscape on Windows, but not much.

In my camera bag

Prosumer camera with small tripod, that's all.
