Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken in Lucerne Valley. Cruising down Hwy 247 between Barstow and Lucerne

Time

A spring time afternoon storm was the backdrop for this shot.

Lighting

The back lit sky and rays coming from rolling clouds.

Equipment

I captuted this image with my old Canon 50D with an 18-55 mm lens no filter. Hand held to.get a low composition.

Inspiration

Always a sucker for old rustic looking environments especially involving a wagon wheel. This particular wheel was weather beaten and leaning against the fence just kind of gave the presence of a cross. Hence the name of the image.

Editing

Noy much besides using detail extraction in Nik software and some color saturation

In my camera bag

I own quite a few cameras that I like to switch off with. Currently you will find my Sony A7R2 along with an 85mm prime and Sigma 24-70.art lems.along with hoya filter assortment.

Feedback

Drive safe bit keep an.eue out for what you find on the roadside. Get out there and explore. The world is yours through your eyes.
