Self portrait! Taken at Cocos Island, Costa Rica located 550 kilometers from the mainland (36 hours by boat). Cocos Island is one of the top 5 best diving in the world and this National Park is as well World Heritage Site by UNESCO. I spend a month on the island doing research, during this time I discovered a magic place, but at the same time with so many threats. This photo reminds me the reason to keep working in the protection of different habitats and species.
