man your work never leaves you ron. with this great shot would be better if the shot was not dead center crop the right man side out will make it look as it is going some ware. the shot itself is great ron i love it and nice work helping the guy that got hurt

Thanks Steve, I appreciate the critique. I think I was thinking it was lifting straight up and I wanted it to be going in that direction. I admit now I should have cropped it just a bit. I was just excited that I got the shot after running back to get my camera.

Great stop action shot indeed but again I agree with Steve. It's too centered. I have admit though, I'm guilty of that many times. On this instance though, I think your main target is just to get a good shot. :)

Yowza! I too hope he was okay. :-/ It is centered, but I think it affords room for all the dust and haze around it. Gives you a sense of a whirlwind of debris as it is taking off. I think more than just the helicopter (which is cool in itself), the surrounding dust cloud adds to the story of the image. For being hand held, with a shutter speed of 80, this came out really well Ron. :-)

Your main focus was helping out the injured ...But you still managed to get a great shot of helicopter , dust, takeoff etc . Good work Ron
