Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at my friends apartment in Mellieha, Malta. I use this apartment very often as a studio.

Time

I took this photo in the morning using speed lights with soft box and umbrella. I layed down on the floor on my tummy.

Lighting

As I mentioned before this was taken in the morning but inside using speedlights

Equipment

I used my SLR Canon 7D, Canon 24-105mm lens, two Canon 580 MKII speedlights with a soft box and an umbrella.

Inspiration

The model in the photo comes up with great ideas apart from doing her own costumes and also she does very good makeup. We discuss them and I do the work to make the photoshoot.

Editing

Yes I did post processing. What I did was a bit of skin softening, colour enhancing and a bit of sharpening.

In my camera bag

Since I work as a Photojournalist I carry a lot. Two SLR cameras Canon 7d and 5D MKIII, four cnon lenses, 70-200mm f/2.8, 24-105mm f/4, 17-40mm f/4 and a 50 mm f/1.8 all L Series and a Canon Speedlight 600 EX-RT apart from lots of batteries and cf & sd cards.
