My furbuddy for several years, we miss him.

The closing of a day on a lake near Clare, MI.

A bald eagle my daughter was able to handle and fly as a falconer. Taken at the World Bird Sanctuary near St. Louis, MO.

The coloring of a mature bald eagle is starting to emerge on this young eagle.

Just got to reach for that itty bitiy bit of greeeeenn! Taken at the Houston Zoo.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan at Brimley State Park. These are very small butterflies gathered on some very small flowers in the middle of June. I don't know what kind of butterfly or flower, but it was a great moment to take photos.

Time

Near sunset of beautiful June day. :)

Lighting

Just that is was in the golden hour right around sunset.

Equipment

An advanced amateur Canon. I couldn't change the lens, but I could manipulate the settings quite a bit.

Inspiration

Nature inspires me. I was on a camping trip with my family and we were walking around the park. I had my camera with me hoping to find things to take photos of. I almost missed these little guys (flowers and butterflies) in among the beach grass we were walking by.

Editing

I used Photoscape to adjust color, lightening, and contrast.

In my camera bag

These days it my Canon 60D. I also carry a long lens, a 50 mm lens, and the lens the camera came with. I can't think of the sizes right at the moment.
