Location
This photo was taken at the Hawk Consevancy in Andover.Time
This was an amazing chance to shoot this amazing bird of prey whilst it was on a low level perch. There was no fence between me and the bird at all, which made this photograp easier to take. It was around mid day.Lighting
This was all naturla lighting, in fact i very seldom, or in actual fact never use a flash. I prefer natural light, and as I have a full frame camera, it is easier to not use a flash than other cameras.Equipment
This was with my Canon 5d, and the prime lense that came with the camera, no tripod.Inspiration
I love shooting animals, and this was a day that I spent out at the Hawk Conservancy. I took quite a few pictures that day and this was one of the more stunning shots that I had from that day.Editing
No, all my pictures that I take, I do not post-process. If anything I only trim or crop a photo. In my camera bag
Normally it is the camera bod, plus a couple of lenses. I no longer use the 5D, but am using my 1Dx. I normally have 2 other lenses in the bag too. One that is a macro lense, and another that is a zoom lense.Feedback
One of the biggest things I would recommend is to relax and take the shot, do not spend lots of time setting it up, especailly when shooting animals. One of the things I love about a digital camera is that you can take lots of shots and then filter them out. My best shots that I have taken are more about in the moment than setups.
