This picture was shoot at my studio in Vancouver, most of my fashion, commercial and headshot work is done in studio.Time
Evening. shooting in studio the time of the day doesn't affect that much. Usually I am more creative at night so perhaps I'm partially bias to shoot close to midnight instead of first thing in the morning,Lighting
I shoot this with a very clear and bright style here mostly cuz the whole shoot is about the jewelry pieces, so good even light was required.Equipment
Nikon D800 with 80-200mm f2.8 handheld, four Hensel monolights and Profoto modifiers. black background paperInspiration
this I have to say wasn't much of an inspirational work, the client wanted to showcase the jewelry without attaching a time or season to it.Editing
everything is capture in camera, so the obvious post here is skin retouch, Ps burn and dodge, cleaning background and that's about it. the compression however is really interesting, seeing the jpg file online textures and sharpness differ from my TIFF file.In my camera bag
I always carry the same gear around: D800 & D610 bodies. 14-24, 24-70, 80-200 (all 2.8),50mm 1.8 a SB-700, a yongnuo 560, 4 batteries, charger, Cactus triggers, cold shoe stand mount, ND filters, 4 set of 4 AA batteries, cleaning kit, waterproof co-op bag, 4 SD cards 2 CF, gaffer tape, elastics bands, business cards, 2 garbage bags, Milwaukee pliers, black sharpie i think....Feedback
