Location
This photo was taken on a hike through a hidden creek area in my home town in southern California.Time
This was taken around 10 am in the spring.Lighting
The lighting was breaking through the canopy of willows and cottonwood trees , brighter than i would prefer , but i had to act fast as to not disturb the twins too much..Equipment
I used the camera on my trusty droid ultra.Inspiration
I love shots of insects and small animals when possible and i would clime through tight areas , climb rocks , rock hop through streams to find shots like this one. I had found the nest as eggs some weeks before and revisited the nest to check on their progress and this shot of "the twins" in the wild and sitting completely quiet and still , hoping i wouldnt eat them , i suppose. The mom and dad were close by , watching me without any scolding or diving at me. A rare find in the wild for me.Editing
I only cropped the shotIn my camera bag
I do not carry a bag , that can make for a clumsy experience crawling through tight fitting areas and streams...Eventually i will have to though , my appreciation for photography is growing.Feedback
Well i've certainly had to rely on my years of hiking and fascination with things wild and beautiful , to help me be in the right place at the right time and keep my eyes open to even the smallest changes in the landscape or on the flora and fauna to find shots like this one....Ive came back without seeing anything new , but i tend to focus on the beauty i have seen and keep looking for something to share with others.
