Location

This Photo was taken in Cherokee NC, I am a self taught photographer ,This deer was chasing does on the side of the highway in a field

Time

This Photo was taken early afternoon in October 2013,My wife and I had just finished a game of golf and were heading back to our hotel when I spotted this deer and two other on the side of the highway. We turned the car around Grabbed my camera and took this photo from the side of the road

Lighting

The lighting was all natural sunlight on a beautiful bright fall afternoon

Equipment

Taken with a Canon T3I with a Canon Ef 100-400mm 4.5-5.6 L IS. lens Free hand

Inspiration

The Photo was taken by chance and opportunity and having the Camera handy when the subject was available. Always try to be prepared and take advantage of any opportunity

Editing

The only post Processing was Crop being that the subject was quite a ways from us when this photo was taken

In my camera bag

I always carry My Canon T3I and multiple Lenses including an 18-55mmand 300mm as well as my long lens the 100-400 mm L lens

Feedback

The best advice I can give to capture any photo of opportunity is be prepared, always have your camera within reach. If photographing Wildlife the animal may only present himself for a short time so keep your gear close
