The photo wa taken in my outside studio near my house

Time

In the afternoon I shot this photo.

Lighting

In this time of year I can shoot photos almost the whole days. The light is coming from the back of the bird but there is enough ambient light reflecting that this shot could be taken with natural light only.

Equipment

This kind of photos I shoot wih a D7100 and a sigma 150-500. I use always a tripod

Inspiration

The love for animals and nature inspires alot of my photos. Mostly I try to capture more then a animal. In this case I had this almost dying flowers in my garden and made a composition in the hope that animals would come and do something ith this flower.

Editing

There is no processing in this photo

In my camera bag

Remote,flash,tripod,cleaning stuf,battery, rain camera coat, plastic bag.

Feedback

This kind of capture it is best to have food hanging above the flower. Where they almost can reach it, and not coming in the picture. That gives them often a reason to stand on the flower and look at the food and sometimes to wait for another bird.
