This is a special one for me. I stepped out past my comfort zone at the time of just posting my photos on my Facebook page or Tumblr Blog by entering 6 of my photos in the amateur division at the South Dakota State Fair 2014. Originally I would have done it in color but at the suggestion of a friend and fellow photographer I converted it to black and white and knew it was too beautiful in my mind to not enter. I was a wreck going over in my mind weather I would do well or not hoping for at least one of my photos to get a ribbon. A blue ribbon being the bees knees. When I came across my photo it had won 1st place, blue, for that category. I entered 4 colors and 2 black and whites; both black and whites took home 1st place. That was my moment to take things further. I know just a fair but still awesome for me. :) 2014
