This is so elegant. You have captured the moment of the mother and the kid here. He looks like his mother. Very lovely. Great lighting and black and white. You captured also grew details. Congratulation on your award!

Location
This image was taken in my clients home, on her living room floor. Not having a studio space available, you have to get creative with your shooting spaceTime
I was starting to lose light (early Spring in Australia) so I had to bump up my ISO a bit to get good exposure. So I'd say this was taken around 4:30 to 5pm.Lighting
I was indoors for this shoot, so I was able to utilize natural light that was coming in from the living room window. My clients living/kitchen/dining area was a decent sized open space so afternoon sunlight was streaming in from behind my subject. I had my assistant with a reflector off to my right to help brighten Mum and bubs face.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 5D mark ii, Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 along with a reflector.Inspiration
I was wanting to capture a few intimate moments between Mum and Bub. Space was limited and I was losing light, so I decided to throw my backdrop on the ground and get in close. I shot a few from above and from ground level. I just loved how this one turned out.Editing
I shoot in RAW so I loaded this image into lightroom. After a slight exposure and temperature adjustment, I opened the image into Photoshop where I used a healing tool to rid the baby skin of any splotches/spots. I then smoothed the skin and converted to black and white. In my camera bag
I always have my Canon 5D Mark ii and Tamron 28-75 f2.8 lens with me. The next favourite lens I carry around is my trusty Canon 50mm 1.8. I also have my 430ex speedlight, which I rarely use but carry it around with me, just in case.Feedback
You don't need much in the way of space for this image... just enough room to have your subject laying comfortably in a well lit area. Once I had Mum comfortable, I nestled Bubby in close to her neck/shoulder, guiding her hands to gently hold Bubby's head in a way that his face could still be seen and under his bottom so he didn't flop to the ground.
