This was taken on Lake Van in the Kurdish area of Turkey, just after a four day hike and climb to the top of Mount Ararat (where Noah's Ark is said to have landed). We had just come down off the mountain and were looking forward to a refreshing swim when my friend came back from the edge of the water warning me that it is a dead lake with dirty water.
