How are you getting so many women to look so beautiful and sexy in the simplest kind of a photo? I love it!

Location
This shot was captured at Union 206 Studio in Alexandria, VA. We were using their mid size studio, it's a bit more intimate than their giant studio and a little more private.Time
Early afternoon, I think.Lighting
This light set up was in our last 5-10 minutes of studio time. We turned all the lights towards the floor, made a few quick adjustments, Rebecca laid down in the pool of lights and we just went. I was hoping to get a really nice bounce off the white floor and I'm really happy with the results.Equipment
This was shot with a canon 7D, a 28-105mm F/4L lens and a pair of alien bees studio lights.Inspiration
We spent a lot of time working on our Masque series and from the begining we knew we wanted Rebecca to be in the series. She's got this magnificent "girl-next-door" beauty and she's always been great to work with. This shot in particular plays with the "implied" nature of the series a lot.Editing
Yeah, I did a little softening and sharpening, trying to get the glow just right and I darkened out the far background to clear away a little spill we had.In my camera bag
When shooting at the studio I try to go minimal. Just my body, a couple lenses and a reflector.Feedback
Find a model you really click with. And get them to walk right to the very edge of their comfort zone. That's where the magic happens. And don't be afraid to just chuck all your plans and try something new.
