Wow, what a great shot, Betts!

Behind The Lens

Location

Galilee, Rhode Island.

Time

It was a very foggy morning and I thought it would very good for some coastal shots. I started out about 830 am and traveled through the Narragansett area looking for interesting things and drove into Galilee to the commercial fishing docks.

Lighting

With the fog masking the background and the seagulls appearing to stand guard it seemed eerily peaceful.

Equipment

At the time I was using a Canon Rebel XTi. Hand held, f10, ISO400, 1/500 sec

Inspiration

I think a foggy day is a great time to shoot photos.

Editing

I used PhotoShop Elements to correct the white balance in the photo.

In my camera bag

These days I carry a Canon Rebel T6s with a Canon EF-S 17-55 zoom, a Canon EF 70-300 zoom an Manfrotto tripod and on special occasions Sigma 150-600 zoom.

Feedback

Some times you need patience with the weather but on a foggy day seize the opportunity before the fog burns away
