Altair, the primary star of the constellation Aquila, is the 12th brightest star in the night sky, it is also one of the stars in the "Summer Triangle". Altair lies at a distance of 16.7 light-years from Earth. This is a 30-second wide-field view using a Canon 6D and 400mm lens and was photographed on August 17, 2014.
