Location
This photo was taken at a local beach in Ranheim, a place in Trondheim, Norway. A Norwegian beach made of big hard rocks, seaweed and ice cold water.Time
This was taken late, just as the sun was about to set.Lighting
The sun was hiding behind the clouds and that made for a dramatic "look". All natural light.Equipment
If I remember correctly I used a Induro Tripod, Canon 1ds mark III, Canon 17-40mm L USM, LEE Filters (BigStopper and maybe a NDG 0.9 (not sure)), and my remote trigger.Inspiration
I was inspired by several things. The leading lines, the weather and nature and the old and worn look of the pier.Editing
Yes I lowered the highlights, raised the overall shadows and lowered the darkest ones, added some contrast and noise reduction. In my camera bag
Canon 1ds mark III, Canon 17-40mm f/4 L USM, LEE 0,9 NDG Soft, Singh-Ray warm Polarizer, Dust and spot removal items, Remote Trigger and Canon 85mm f/1,8.Feedback
