Behind The Lens

Location

It was an Autumn noon, while I, with my family (my wife and my only son) was in a tour to Chennai.I was carrying my first digital camera, which I bought a few months ago and just getting comfortable to take pictures. At that noon, along with my co-tourists, we reached Mahabalipuram. Within 300-400 meters we found the temple. It was not the great "Shore Temple". It was Thirukadalmallai Temple, a temple of Lord Vishnu.

Time

It was the 25th October, 2010, about 2:45 to 3:15 pm. I was taking the shot from 100-200 meters distance. After viewing the pictures in camera display I was confident that they were good ones.

Lighting

As it was not a SLR, I had to depend the camera processor. Camera settings were in auto mode. Sunlight was brilliant and certainly helped me to take the shot.

Equipment

It was my first digital camera, not SLR one, it was KODAK EASYSHARE Z915.I used inbuilt unchangeable 10x zoom lens, no flash and no tripod.

Inspiration

I am an Indian Hindu, like other Hindus, I got an affection with temples. I mostly like south Indian temples.

Editing

I can't remember exactly, I think it was trimmed and contrast might be adjusted, nothing more.

In my camera bag

At that time, I had that camera KODAK EASYSHARE Z915,some extra batteries( rechargeable AA) and charger and a tripod got as a gift with the camera.

Feedback

The picture, I took, is the side view of the temple entrance. The front was in shade region. So, if any one want to capture the picture of that temple I will request him/her to choose for the morning time.
