This is really nice and crisp. I like the way the colors pop with realism and focus. Look how she looks right into the camera. Great shot. Congrats on your awards

This one gets it. The composition, editing, detail, and the subject create an interesting entry.

Did you set up the camera and operate remotely? Just curious... very comical shot!

Love the lighting contrast of the sky and the hide of the animal. The line of the photo as well as one eye!

Location
This photo was taken at a farm where kids can meet animals. The farm is is Westervoort, The Netherlands.Time
16.28, a great afternoon with the sun peeking between the heavy clouds.Lighting
The sun provided the rimlight. One bare Yongnuo YN560-III, above/front of the piggie, on 1/4. Triggered with a Yongnuo RF-603CIIEquipment
Canon 6D Sigma 28mm 2.8 Yonguo YN560-III Yongnuo RF-603CII No tripod, just a little luckInspiration
The little piggie (no bigger than 60 cm/2 ft) was very interested in what I was doing. (flashing a pair of ducks between the eyes) As it aproached me I made three photo's and this was the most vivid one.Editing
I darkened the sky around the piggie a little to balance the photo a bit.In my camera bag
The same stuff as described before, with some additional flashes. Some stands, two cardboard/gaffertaped snoots, a multi pupose clamp to rig a flash. Sometimes a couple of umbrellas reflective and shoot-through. two or three lenses, always the 28 mm, a 50 mm 1.8 Canon, sometimes a Sigma 70-200 mm 2.8Feedback
Be patient. Be patient. Talk to animals. Ignore people looking at you in a funny way while you are doing it. Always bring a wireless flash and use it everywhere. Use a small aperture (9-16) and a low ISO (100-200) Oh, be patient. Observing closely is both fun and rewarding.
