This photo was taken in one of my favorite places to go hiking along a stretch of the old Welland Canal.Time
I can't remember the exact time, but I pretty sure it was around 12pm as I enjoy the warmth of the afternoon sun.Lighting
It was a clear sunny day. Absolute perfect day for a hike in nature.Equipment
I had just recieved my first digital camera earlier that month. This was one of my first photos I took with it. Just a simple point and shoot camera.Inspiration
I enjoy taking hotos while out enjoying nature and everyday life. Capturing in the moment photos is one of my favorite things to try and capture. The inspiration for this photo and many of my personal photos is that if you don't get it at that moment, it's gone. There is just something honest about capturing a moment in time.Editing
I like to play with my photos, and experiment with post processing. With this particular photo, used Perfect Effects. In my camera bag
As for equipment, I typically only take a simple point and shoot with me. For many reasons, one reason being is that it allows me to hike in my more challenging hiking areas of choice. Besides, I would much rather lose a point and shoot to damage than all the dslr type equipment. Yes I do lose out on many opportunities with not having a dslr, but it makes me work harder on getting that moment.Feedback
Patience, and don't be affraid to push the limits to experiment and have fun, but most of all just get out. The world around you is the greatest studio and cost nothing except your time.
