This photo was taken at the end of Beaumaris pier on Anglesey, North Wales. It was very early in the morning and the wetness on the ground was dew. I went for an early morning walk and just loved the pier which I lived very close to. No one was around so I decided to lie on the floor to make the most of the wide angle!Time
It was around 7am in the morning on a weekday. No one was around and I could make the most of the peace and quiet with the waves lapping at the pier, even the seagulls weren't up yet!Lighting
The image as I remember was ever so slightly burnt out due to the direct sun light, so I darkened it slightly in Photoshop to bring out the details.Equipment
Just my bridge camera Olympus C8080 and the floor.Inspiration
I loved the shine from the planks and knew that the pier was shortly to be updated and would never be the same again. I just had to capture those pixels forever!Editing
Yes, a simple toning down of the light on Photoshop. In my camera bag
Camera, wide angle lens and standard, spare batteries.Feedback
Get as close to the subject as possible to capture the beauty in it. I was laid flat out like a starfish. lucky there was no one around!
