Just before you enter Yosemite National Park, you travel through a half-mile tunnel bored through solid rock. As soon as you emerge from the tunnel, you are struck with this expansive majestic view of Yosemite Valley! The towering granite formation is called Cathedral Rocks, and below it is Bridalveil Fall. It is one of the most magnificent views I have ever seen! We were fortunate to have some interesting cloud cover from an approaching storm on this day. I snapped this image just as a small break opened up in the sky which resulted in sunlight crossing the tree covered valley and illuminating the granite wall in its warm light.
