Have been to Bryce a few times and never saw this. I love the layers of color and how you've captured it.

You captured all the colors that I remember from my visit thirty years ago, regards Herbert

Simply magnificent, love the colours and arid textures. The touch of green really makes it stand out. Well done!

Location
This was taken from Sunrise Point at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah.Time
It was taken on June 13th, around 8:00-9:00am.Lighting
It was not in a good condition of lighting, because we missed the sunrise when we got there, and there were thin clouds and some morning mist, so the sunlight was quite diffused. The ISO 500 could be a mistake due to the previous night's manual setting. But I used auto setting this time. I don't understand the old ISO being still printed out in the data.Equipment
I used Nikon D90, and made the maximum use of 70-300mm Zoom lens, since the scene was very far from what we stood at the Sunrise Point.Inspiration
Its wild style, the beauty of the shape, and the flowing lines of slope attracted my attention, in addition to its magnificent color. I immediately felt this could be a good composition. I am glad I took it, since I later found few people took pictures on it, probably for the reason that it was very far and too many good scenes in Bryce distracted people from that.Editing
I only did minor editing without using photoshop, basically reducing highlights so that more textures could come out, and increasing definition, also some sharpening. I did not do any cropping. In my camera bag

Developing our sensitivity to the lines, shapes, patterns and colors of nature is most benefiting to our composition. Using our eyes to discover the beauty of nature and to present it through our photos--I am still trying and learning to do it better.
