Behind The Lens

Location

This pictures our shed in the backyard. It was one of those rare snowfalls that we get in the very SE tip of Virginia.

Time

I ventured out about midmorning and took the photo before the temperatures could rise and melt the snow.

Lighting

Since I use a "point and shoot" approach, the electronics of the camera do most of the work.

Equipment

Offhand I am not sure which camera I used, I owned a Nikon and a Canon, so it was one of those.

Inspiration

Capturing this much snow in SE Virginia is not often possible, so I wanted to document this unusual snowfall. Most years we dont get any snow or just a very light dusting.

Editing

No post processing was done, I liked it just the way it had turned out.

In my camera bag

Nowadays I use my galaxy phone and borrow my husband's Nikon on occasions.

Feedback

Maybe the right framing is something to consider, besides taking multiple pictures in hopes that one of them is worth keeping. And, having fun while shooting pictures is of upmost importance.
