Earth Devotion

"Channel your thoughts, energies and actions, if only for a while, towards the planet you live in."

This was shot in Cais Palafitico in Carrasqueira-Portugal, a favorite place among portuguese landscape photographers.

As the tide was too low to make proper long exposure photos, I started wondering about different approaches to this place. After the sun had set, I decided to do something I had planning to do for a long time, which was to include a subtle humane figure, silhouette-like, that would enrich the content and message of the image.

The idea in here revolves around the need to spend some time thinking about the planet we live in, its inner richness and beauty, as well as the need to preserve it. So many people spend so much time worshiping gods, persons, objects, status, and most of them forget to go out and look in a deeper way to the reality of our physical world and all it's inherent magic.
