Behind The Lens

Location

This is a photo I took at Lake Conway, just a few miles south of downtown Orlando.

Time

I set up just before sunrise, when I saw clouds had lingered from the previous night. I thought I would get the chance for some great colors and reflections.

Lighting

Again, the diffusion of the first light rays over the clouds is what I feel makes this shot work.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3100 with a standard 18-55 mm lease and a tripod.

Inspiration

I love sunrise and sunset, long exposure photography.

Editing

I simply sharpened and kicked up the saturation slightly, bit what you see is pretty much how it looked.

In my camera bag

I'm just getting started. Apart from my main camera body, I just have a couple of lenses.

Feedback

Be the first one out. Pay attention to your surroundings. If a setting strikes you, take the time to experiment going back at various times of the day and year.
