Behind The Lens

Location

I took this image in a public park in Norfolk Va

Time

It was shot late in the evening. Personally I love to shoot during the golden hour.

Lighting

The lighting for this was super tricky. There were so many tree blocking the fading light and I usually under expose my images. So finding the perfect balance was difficult.

Equipment

I shot this with a Nikon D3200 and a 35mm lens. The 35mm and the 85mm are my go to lenses

Inspiration

I love pushing the boundaries of reality, so levitations are my favorite to shoot. I want draw the viewer into every story so I aim to make my manipulations flawless. This photo was a representation of “falling” out of love with someone.

Editing

I normally do a lot of post processing. This image is a combination of eighteen photos. I use a lot of layers.

In my camera bag

I usually keep my Nikon d750 and 85mm, 35mm and 50mm lenses everywhere.

Feedback

My advice to anyone trying levitation images is to keep working at it. I got so discouraged when I was first attempting this type of image. So don’t give up and layers in post processing is a must.
