That's one of the reasons I started doing photography actually. I was going to Ireland and my mom wants to travel badly but can't afford it so I wanted to be able to take good pictures so that she could get an idea of what it was like in Ireland. Unfortunately, no photo can convey how the weather feels, what the humidity is like, how it smells, the great people, etc.

Those are some serious pipes; the shooter obviously has an arduous eye for detail.
