Behind The Lens

Location

A dry creek bed in northern Peru ( Talara)

Time

Early afternoon

Lighting

It needed a little side lighting to show the texture better

Equipment

Fujifilm hs 25 on auto setting

Inspiration

The " peeled paint look" got my attention first, the fine silt and sand that washed down from the hills during an infrequent rain spreads over beach sand and when it dries you get many different results.

Editing

darkened and turned up the contrast a little and then really boosted the color, it was originally the same color as unfired pottery.

In my camera bag

extra batteries and a joint

Feedback

take pictures from several different angles and distances. what looked like nothing can be amazing after processing.
