I have been meaning to do star trail. Would you mind sharing your settings? And do you have any tips?

I can assure you, Smoothie, there is no Photoshop enhancement other than noise reduction and minor color-correction. Google star-trails for much better examples and info.

The center star is the North star and this is the effect when placed in the frame. Also notice the line from the satellite shooting across the screen?

Metadata: I shot this with a Canon 30D on March 17th, 2009 at 12:33AM. Manual exposure at f/3.5. ISO, 100. The lens I used was a Canon EF 28-80 with the focal length set at 28.0mm. I left the shutter open for 17 minutes and 7 seconds.
