Location
The photo was taken at a tiger park in Thailand. I had the tremendous privilege of being in a cage with 4 big tigers (and the trainers and other visitors). I caressed and smelled the coat of that big one (by the way this tiger smelled a lot like my garden variety cats... a clean, warm smell). I was so thrilled by the experience that I did not realize at the moment how wrong it was to emprison wild animals for life for the benefit of paying tourists. I am somewhat ashamed today. However, the moment was so magical that I can't have any regret.Time

I confess that I did not think about the technical details of the photo. I just wanted to come as close as possible to the fantastic face of that magnificent beast and capture the moment where we look into each other's eyes.Equipment
a tiny Canon coolpik, no tripod, no flash--very rudimentaryInspiration
How could I have not taken a photo of that particular moment in time?Editing
I usually play with my photos (Picasa tools), but this one did not need anything in my opinion. In my camera bag
I do not own any equipment worth mentioning. I am simply an amateur.Feedback
It is not my place to give advice about an art that I only approach by the wayside. I see perfect photos waiting to be captured everywhere I go. Sometimes I get lucky with the minimal skills and equipment I possess, like with the photo of "my" tiger :-)
