Location
This photo was taken during a trip to a fishing village on the Mekong River in Cambodia.Time
The trip was mid-day, and the strong sunlight added to the intensity of the colors of the fish.Lighting
Use it to your advangtageEquipment
At the time, I was using my Canon 60D with 18-270mm Tamron lens which I use when traveling.Inspiration
What drew me to take this image was sadness of death in the eyes of the fish, whereas the vibrancy of the colors accented that life after death can still bring a beautiful expression.Editing
Other than cropping, this image is right out of the camera. In my camera bag
While traveling, I carried my 18-270mm Tamron as an all purpose lens, plus a8mm fisheye for that special image and a Canon 10-22mm when needed.Feedback
With your camera always at the ready, and the beauty of shooting digitally, the number of images you photograph is not he problem. At every locale, look around, and make sure to look behind you. Let your eye/brain record the scene, compose and then click the camera's shutter. Whether you are thinking in color or monochrome, look for the appropriate emotion you want to share. A mundane image perhaps might be "the" image you have been looking for.
