Boothbay Harbor, MaineTime
Early morning; around 6amLighting
It was taken just after sunrise when the sky was blue and the town was lit by the warm glow of the sun.Equipment
Used a Canon EOS 6D with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM on a Manfrotto 190CX Carbon Fiber TripodInspiration
I wanted to take the walking bridge in the warm early mooring light without the usual, busy foot traffic.Editing
It was stylized to bring out the detail and the shadows. Spot lighting was added to the footbridge and on the side of the brown building. In my camera bag

To get beautiful morning light in your photos, arrive at your location 1/2 hour before sunrise. The sky actually lights up beautifully just before the sun rises. Always use a trip at this time of day as the light is low and you will need long shutter speeds. Bracket your shots and do your photo selection in post processing. Use the highest f/stop you have to get good depth of field.
