A very nice composition, except for the burnout in the sky and water. The general rule is to maintain detail in the dark areas, and detail in the light. Two fixes:
1. bracketing (manual variations in exposure)
2. wait for the setting sun

I also think this is a nice composition. One thing always told to me is with digital cameras you always want to shoot for detail in bright (burnout area) as you can bring out the detail in the darker areas a lot more than the bright areas in post production. I am not sure of the exact but it is like 4 to 1 more detail in the darker area than the bright area. Dacemac said it better but wanted to add an area I had a hard time with.
