Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken inside my aunts house in her dining room. I needed a big light source to achieve a sexy silhouette shot and the only window that had the most light coming through was in the dining room. Luckily this room had a huge dining table in it. I pushed the table slightly closer to the window to have just the right amount of light hit my subject to achieve a picture perfect silhouette.

Time

The time of this image was around 11 or 12 in the afternoon, just as the sun is at its highest and brightest point.

Lighting

I wanted to try something new with my boudoir photography. I've seen other styles of silhouettes but I needed to create this to be my "own" image. And sitting on top of a table to capture the entire body was my goal. I nailed it!

Equipment

I used a Canon 60D camera, with my standard 18-55 5.6 lens. No flash, no tripod.

Inspiration

The curves of a woman's body. Each person is sexy in their own way, we just have to embrace it, find the angle and take a shot!

Editing

Yes! I edit all images in photoshop. This image just needed some sharpening, convert to black and white, and whiten my whites a big to make the figure of the body stand out more.

In my camera bag

My camera bag back then just had my Canon 60D and the standard lens with one external flash.
