Marvelous juxtaposition between the bus and canal; also great point of view.

Hi Sourav! Really this was a case of Right Place, Right Time and Right Equipment! I was on another bridge looking for another shot of a barge and never once thought about a bus in the equation. So, while I was lining up the shot of the barge through the viewfinder a bus went by on the bridge above and I thought that was cool. So in true London style, when you wait for one bus, two come more or less at the same time. So the second bus nailed it for me. I decided to colour pop for a different feel, even though I did like the original image and ViewBug is all about expressing ourselves!! Thank you for your support, Lincoln :)

What makes it work is the barge's reflection. Nice touch.

This is either a very lucky shot, or a patient wait paid off and was well worth it. Great concept!

Hi Stephen, it was a semi-lucky shot, as I have been on this bus several times and on one occasion I was going across I noticed the barges below, so when I had the chance I jumped of the bus a few stops before and walked up to the lower footbridge and I didn't have to wait long for the two to cross paths! The buses were passing every 2 mins, so it was a case of waiting for the barge to come along to get the shot 😎
See all
