Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo from a bridge over the river near my home in Wisconsin. The trees were exceptionally beautiful and I wanted to catch that beauty to savor for years to come.Time
I had been waiting for the chance to get out and take some pictures. This image was taken in mid-morning with an overcast sky.Lighting
Being a self-taught amateur photographer, I knew that full sun might be too harsh. This morning dawned with a light overcast sky and I was excited to get out and try my luck at some good color shots.Equipment
This shot was taken with my old Konica-Minolta DiMage Z6. It was my first digital camera and it has never let me down.Inspiration
The fall colors were so beautiful I was itching to get some shots. The bridge was newly built and I wanted to try to get some shots of the river and trees from that angle.Editing
Since the colors never seem to pop without a little more saturation, that is all I tweaking that I needed to do.In my camera bag
Since I don't have a fancy camera with lots of lenses, filters, etc. I just do the best I can with one or two relatively inexpensive cameras and not much more than some extra batteries and lens cleaners in my bag.Feedback
When I see an image I really want to capture I just take my time and take many pictures at several angles.
