Located in the beautiful Welsh county of Carmarthenshire, Carreg Castell Cennen sits atop a limestone crag, 300 ft above the valley of the Afon Cennen. It has been voted as the most romantic of castles in the UK. The line of vertical slits in the lower base wall provide windows to a narrow vaulted passage way that eventually leads down to a natural spring deep within the bowels of the limestone bedrock.
